Friday 26 September 2025--Lazy morning...our stay here is meant to be rest and relaxation, mostly. Get out after noon and take a stroll around town. End up at the Algonquin, the venerable hotel on the hill back of town, hoping to have a pint at the pub. It isn't open. We sit for a while in rockers on the verandah, half expecting hotel security to come and shoo us away.
Dinner this evening is on the patio at the Salt Bight, formerly the Harbour Front. It's T-shirt weather on the patio at Saint Andrews Brewing, as the setting sun casts a rosy glow over the bay. I think back to a similar glow in Lubec, where this trip started. We're fifteen miles from there, on a straight line. It's seventy miles by road. More like a thousand, the way we went.
