Thursday 15 May 2025--I have to stop at a tire shop in Sault Ste Marie this morning to resolve my tire issue. The folks in the shop are very nice, as has been everyone I've dealt with in Michigan. I'm much too old and settled to think about moving, but I can't help but think that this would be nice area to live in. I suspect, though, that winter here would be a shock, even to a New Englander.

I stop to have a look at the Soo Locks before crossing the international bridge (seen here in the background) into Ontario again, on my way to St Joseph Island, where I'm staying two nights.
