Saturday 24 May 2025--There isn't really a lot to see on Wolfe Island, but I enjoy poking around, anyway. It's pretty flat--this is probably the most dramatic landscape I see all day.

This is the landing for an international ferry that crosses the St Lawrence River to Cape Vincent, New York. I was hoping to start for home this way tomorrow, but it's not running for the season yet. It's a shoestring family business, and they've never been good about posting updates on their minimal web presence. [I find out later that they've gone out of business following the death of the family patriarch.]

I take the little ferry over to Simcoe Island to get a photo of the Nine Mile Point Lighthouse, looking out to Lake Ontario.
